Karen Wentz earned an Associate in Applied Science at OCC in 2010. During her time here she was
the Founder and President of the Criminal Justice Student Association. After graduating,
she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science from Madonna University and certificates
in Homeland Security and Private Investigation. In 2013, Wentz entered Western Michigan
Thomas M. Cooley Law School and passed the bar exam in June of 2017 to became a licensed
attorney. She returned to OCC as an adjunct professor and spent time as a judicial
secretary for Oakland County before accepting her current position as Wayne County

ChaKaria "Kari" Hunter earned an Associate in Science Degree at OCC in December 2013. After graduating,
she transferred to the University of Georgia where she worked with Engineers Without
Borders developing biogas latrines and water sanitation systems in Kenya. She interned
at the National Institute of Health (NIH)’s Interventional Radiology Department where her team applied for a patent for a medical device/robotic arm developed for
radiation oncology procedures. Midway through her senior year at Georgia, Hunter accepted
a job offer from NASA’s Ames Research Center as a research engineer. Hunter currently lives in Silicon Valley working on life

Gregory Thomas, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, graduated from Henry Ford High School in Detroit. He
obtained an Associates in Applied Science Automotive Technology from Henry Ford Community
College ('09), an Associates in Applied Science Mental Health/Social Work ('11) from
OCC, and a Bachelor of Social Work from Madonna University ('13). Thomas is currently
pursuing a Master of Arts in Higher Education/Student Affairs and Certificate of Academic
Advising at Eastern Michigan University, which he expects to complete in 2015. He
earned a Graduate Assistantship and currently works in the University Advising and

Dimitrina Koleva, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, graduated from the National Lyceum for Ancient Languages
and Culture in Sofia, Bulgaria. She went on to earn a Masters of Arts in English Language
and Literature from the University of Sofia "St. Climent Ohridski" ('91) and an MBA
from New Bulgarian University ('00). After immigrating to the U.S., Koleva enrolled
at OCC and obtained a Certificate from the Paralegal Program ('03). She then added
to her academic credentials by earning a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management

Natalie Wellman, of Fair Haven, Michigan graduated from Anchor Bay High School. She earned an Associate’s
Degree in Liberal Arts from OCC in 2010. While at OCC, she was successful in the classroom
and on the ball field, receiving both Distinguished Academic All-American and NJCAA
All-American honors. Wellman transferred to Saginaw Valley State University, where
she is currently pursuing her Master’s in Occupational Therapy. Upon completion of

Randy Ayyar, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, is a Franchisee and Multi-Unit Operator for Dunkin
Donuts and Baskin Robbins restaurants. A graduate of Bloomfield Hills’ Andover High,
Ayyar completed two years at OCC before transferring to Michigan State University

Michael Geeter, of Pontiac, Michigan, is Staff Engineering Checker at BAE Systems in Sterling Heights,

Brian Carney, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, is the retired Vice President and Regional Head Coach
of Bob Evans Farms, where he oversaw restaurant operations in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana
and Illinois. The graduate of Franklin High School in Livonia has an Associate’s culinary
degree from OCC ('85), a Bachelor in Business Administration in Finance from EMU ('88)
and a Master’s in Business Administration in International Finance from Wayne State
University ('92). He taught Cost Control in the Culinary Art’s Department at OCC and

Kelly Postal, of Fenton, Michigan, is owner and personal chef of Taste. Smile. Repeat, a personal chef and catering business that Postal launched in 2008 and which services
Oakland, Genessee and Livingston counties. A native of Hartland, Mich., she graduated
from Hartland High School. After receiving her Bachelor’s in Business Administration
from Central Michigan University, she decided to pursue her culinary dreams at the
Culinary Studies Institute of Oakland Community College, where she received an Associate’s
in Culinary Arts. It was there that she became a Certified Culinarian under the American
Culinary Federation and started down the road of running her own business using her

Lori Przymusinski, MSN, RN, of Rochester, Michigan, is the interim Vice Chancellor for Student Services
at Oakland Community College. Lori has a Licensed Practical Nurse Certificate ('83)

from Oakland University and a Master’s in Nursing from University of Phoenix. She

Jamie Corona, of Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, is the Athletic Director and Head Softball Coach
at Oakland Community College. A graduate of Lake Shore High School, Corona received

to academic and athletic scholarships from Saginaw Valley State University, and she
