Honor the Fallen: Support a Cadet

Each year, the Oakland Police Academy must turn away well-qualified candidates because they cannot afford to sponsor themselves in the Basic Police Academy.

In spite of knowing that every week three U.S. law enforcement officers lose their lives in the line of duty, these brave men and women are willing to dedicate themselves to keep us safe.

The new Fallen Officers Memorial Scholarship honors the fallen and supports those who follow them into law enforcement. Each scholarship will be given in the name of a local officer who made the ultimate sacrifice, preserving their memory by helping a new police cadet continue their legacy of service.

Your gift today in any amount will ensure that aspiring police officers will have every opportunity to realize their potential. Each $3,000 we raise covers half the cost of training for one cadet. Please give as generously as you can at the level that is right for you.
