The following steps will guide you through the process of transferring to OCC.

STEP 1: CREATE AN ADMISSIONS PROFILE & COMPLETE AN ONLINE APPLICATION
Exception: College Guest Students

STEP 2: SET UP A MyOCC ACCOUNT & OCC EMAIL
You will be prompted to log in to create a new password. Be sure to set up your SECURITY QUESTIONS - this will avoid having to call in to reset your password. Once logged in to MyOCC, sign in to Student Email to ACTIVATE your required OCC EMAIL account. Check your email often for important news & updates.

STEP 3: HAVE YOUR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS MAILED or EMAILED TO OCC
Mail to Oakland Community College, Transcript Evaluations 2480 Opdyke Rd Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304-2266 or you can request your transcripts are emailed to ces@oaklandcc.edu. After your transcript has been evaluated, notification will be sent to your OCC email. You may log into your student account to review the results or your transcript evaluation.

STEP 4: NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION - ONLINE
Students new to OCC are required to complete the New Student Orientation before registration. You must have an OCC ID and account to access the link. Go to MyOCC, log in, and select New Student Orientation. After you have completed the survey, remember to click "Mark Course Completed" and print your certificate to finish the orientation.

STEP 5: COMPLETE YOUR FAFSA (if applicable)
Award letter and status of your application may be found under Financial Profile on MyOCC. Check for important deadlines.

STEP 6: PLACEMENT TESTING (if applicable)
Students may be exempt from taking English Accuplacer if they meet the exemption guidelines.
Mandatory practice and test information may be found on the Placement Testing page. Contact Campus Academic Support Center nearest you to schedule your English and/or math placement. Students whose first language is not English are required to take the MTELP. *If applicable – see exemption list

STEP 7: MEET WITH A COUNSELOR
Make the most of your counseling appointment. Complete your application and placement
testing before coming in!
Call for an appointment with a counselor at one of the campuses or set up a ZOOM meeting!
NOTE: STEPS 1 - 6 SHOULD BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOU MEET WITH A COUNSELOR
*Bring a copy of your transcripts.

STEP 8 REGISTER FOR CLASSES VIA MyOCC
- Log into MyOCC, Select Students
- Go to Registration
- Click Register for Sections


STEP 10: GET YOUR RAIDER ONE CARD
The Raider One Card is your Official OCC Student ID. It serves as your Student ID, Library Card, Copy/Print Card, and iROC Cash for Raiders Store and Cafe purchases. Your first card is free, replacement cards cost $10. Your official OCC Student ID can be picked up at the Business Office.

STEP 11: BUY YOUR BOOKS
The Raider Bookstore provides competitive comparisons to get your books.
