Computer Information Systems - Cybersecurity Option (CIS.CYS.AAS)
Program Outcomes
Program outcomes represent broad areas of knowledge and skills developed over the
duration of the program through a wide range of courses and experiences. These learning
outcomes represent what a student should be able to know, think, or do upon successful
completion of their program at Oakland Community College.
Students will use critical thinking and technical skills to perform reconnaissance
and scanning with operating system and hacking tools.
Students will use critical thinking and technical skills to protect and maintain the
integrity of data files by examining basic techniques of encryption and decryption
and their application to computer security.
Students will use critical thinking and technical skills to examine security and access
control in Windows and Linux operating systems.
