Construction Management (CMN.AAS)

Program Outcomes

Program outcomes represent broad areas of knowledge and skills developed over the duration of the program through a wide range of courses and experiences. These learning outcomes represent what a student should be able to know, think, or do upon successful completion of their program at Oakland Community College.

  • The CMN student must be able to distinguish between the various construction project delivery methods.
  • The CMN student must be able to distinguish between the various types of construction building systems.
  • The CMN student must be able to distinguish between the various types of construction building materials and equipment.
  • The CMN student must be able to properly use a total station.
  • The CMN student must be able to recognize OSHA and MIOSHA safety regulations and requirements.
  • The CMN student must be able to use construction drawings to complete quantity analyses on various types of construction materials.
  • The CMN student must be able to recognize and distinguish between the various types of construction contracts.
  • The CMN student will be able to recognize and distinguish between the various construction laws.
  • The CMN student must be able to schedule construction projects.
  • The CMN student must be able to assemble a construction bid using quantitative analysis of construction materials and applying material, labor, equipment and other associated project costs.
  • The CMN student must be able to interpret construction drawings.
