Business Systems Analysis

The Business Systems Analyst program meets the growing needs of industry for a new category of information technology professional. Industry needs graduates who have both the ability to develop and manage computer systems and have a business background.

The computer industry is a fast-growing field with frequent changes in hardware, software and business procedures. The prevalent use of computers in all areas of business has created new positions and expanded opportunities in Information Technology. Effective use of technology enables businesses to serve customers better, access more information, and be more flexible in responding to ever changes of business.

This associate degree provides immediately usable skills in technology and business, along with alignment for transfer to a four-year college.

CREDENTIALS - CIS.BSA.AAS

The design of the Business Systems Analysis degree has grown from the demand on businesses to use the most current technology to solve business problems. This degree emphasizes an understanding of both business and technology processes.

Upon completion of the Business Systems Analysis degree, students are encouraged to pursue two industry certificates: Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA-level 1) and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM-PP). Additionally, students are encouraged to pursue several of the Microsoft certifications.
