TRANSFER CREDIT AGREEMENTS (Articulation Agreements) | Do you know that students who utilize a transfer credit
agreement (articulation agreement) are more likely to achieve their educational goal
while saving time and money when compared to those who do not?
If you value your time and money, a transfer credit agreement (articulation agreement)
provides you with a map to your educational future. It provides you with the quickest
and most efficient route to reach the end of your educational destination. Each transfer
credit agreement (articulation agreement) includes the completion of an associate
degree. However, the amount of OCC credit hours accepted and applied varies by the
transfer credit agreement (articulation agreement) and ranges between 70-94 credit
hours. Imagine after transferring potentially having as few as 30 credit hours remaining
to compete your bachelor’s degree.

OCC TRANSCRIPT REQUEST | A transcript or academic history lists all of the credit or non-credit classes
that you take at Oakland Community College along with the number of credit hours and
any grades received. Transcripts are either official or unofficial, also called an
academic history.
FOREIGN TRANSCRIPT EVALUATION | International transcripts must be evaluated by a member of the National Association
of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) before OCC can consider international credits
for transfer. A course-by-course evaluation is required. Students seeking to transfer
credit from Canadian institutions do not have to send their transcripts to a NACES
member for evaluation. Students should request their official transcripts from their
Canadian institution to be sent to OCC; due to differences in accreditation standards
between Canada and the U.S., transfer credit from Canadian institutions is not guaranteed.
Canadian transcripts are reviewed on a case-by-case by the Office of the Registrar.
