Drop Sections Tutorial

From the Student Menu, click the Register and Drop Sections link to drop a class from your schedule. You will be taken to the Register and Drop Sections page.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see all of your currently enrolled sections (present and future terms). In the Current Registrations section:
  • Click the Drop check box for the class or classes you wish to drop.
  • Click Submit.

IMPORTANT TIP! You can add and drop in one transaction. From the Preferred Sections list, select an Action, either Register or Audit, for the section you wish to add. From the Current Registrations list, check the sections you wish to drop. Click Submit. MyOCC will attempt to perform both of these requests at once. If, for any reason, you are unable to enroll in the class you were attempting to add, you will not be dropped from the section you were attempting to drop.

After submitting your request, you will be taken to a Registration Results page which confirms your actions and provides a list of current registrations. Check the messages on this screen to be sure you've dropped the correct classes. As with registration, you are advised to print this page for your records.
