What's My Password? Tutorial

If you can't remember your password, click the What's My Password? link from Student Menu or the Main Menu. On the What's My Password? page, use one or more of the options provided to help you determine your password.

I might remember: Show my password hint.

If you have a password hint on file, you can use that to help you remember your password. To display your password hint, fill in your User Name then click Submit.

I don't remember: Reset my password via self-service password reset

If you have forgotten your password or if you want to change your password click on the Reset my password via self-service password reset link. A new browser window will open displaying OCC's Password Manager web site.

  • Identify yourself by entering your MyOCC User Name. (If you do not know your user name, please review the What's My User Name? help topic.)
  • Click Continue.
  • If you receive an message indicating that we do not have any questions on file for the user name entered and you are certain that you have entered the correct user name, please follow the instructions provided in the message.

Password Reset

  • If we have security questions on file for you, a page will open displaying the questions. If you have previously submitted your personal security questions those will be listed here; otherwise, your will be asked to verify your identity based on information we have on file for you.
  • Enter your answers to the questions provided.
  • Click Continue.

  • If you have not already submitted your personal security questions, you will be prompted to do so.
  • Select a question and provide an answer for all four questions. You may pick any of the questions from the drop-down list.
  • Please remember to answer the questions carefully. If you misspell an answer then the misspelled answer is the 'correct' answer when presented with this question in the future. If you can answer a question in more than one way, consider selecting a different question. Answers are not case-sensitive.
  • Click Submit.

  • The Password Reset form appears.
  • Enter a new password and confirm your new password. Be sure your new password meets all of the requirements listed on the page.
  • When all of the red x's turn into green checkmarks, you are ready to submit your new password.
  • Click Submit.

I'm New to MyOCC: What's my initial password?

If you're new to MyOCC your initial password is the lowercase first letter of your first name, the uppercase first letter of your last name, and your 6-digit birth date (fLmmddyy). For example, if your name is John Smith and you were born on January 5, 1981 you would have an initial password of jS010581.
