Verification of Records

The Enrollment Services Office located at every OCC campus is available to assist you with all issues related to your academic file. The office is also responsible for changes to a student’s file, special refunds, and verification and release of student records information.

Educational Verifications

Oakland Community College is bound by the tenets of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, which established the protection and privacy of student educational records.

  • Students can provide authorization for a person or persons designated by the student to work with the Access office, to work with financial services to discuss billing, work with financial aid and discuss transcripted grades. Students access Student Record Release by clicking on the Record Release link in the Student Quick Links Card on MyOCC
  • When an authorized individual contacts the institution and asks to speak about the student’s records, they will be asked to provide their first and last name, and their unique PIN

Allow three business days for processing.
