High School Dual Enrolled Students

High School Dual Enrollment Students

Jumpstart Your Future

Earn college credits while attending high school through the Oakland Community College Dual Enrollment program. If you’ve successfully completed eighth grade, you can enroll in college courses at OCC through this program and begin to earn credits that can be applied to an OCC degree or certificate, or transferred to a four-year university. If you are sponsored by your school district, tuition costs are covered.

Explore Your Interests and Ease into College

Take classes that interest you, at your own pace. We'll verify if you meet pre-requisite requirements. Studies show dual enrollment students experience higher levels of academic success in college when compared to students who do not participate.

What our students have to say

“I learned through my counselor that I could take classes at OCC not offered at my high school and earn college credits toward a degree. The idea of starting college early was very cool to me. I’m now an OCC student graduating soon with an Associate of Arts. I plan to transfer my credits toward a bachelor’s degree. I highly recommend OCC’s dual enrollment program”.  - Katie, Rochester High School
