OCC offers a wide range of math courses designed to meet the requirements of various programs, degrees, and transfer pathways. Choosing the right class can feel complex, but we’re here to help you succeed.

If you’re unsure which course (or sequence of courses) is best for your goals, connect with a counselor or academic advisor before you register. They’ll guide you to the class that fits your academic plan.

You need to take Statistics, which is MAT1580. (MAT1580E is a co-requisite course that offers extra support to students. It can be taken in addition to MAT1580.)

Ways to place into MAT1580:

  • HS GPA 3.0 or higher in last 3 years
  • SAT Score of __________ or higher in the last <> years
  • Completion of Math Literacy (MAT1125 or MAT1125E
  • Completion of Intermediate Algebra (MAT1150 or higher)
