Program Title: MGT Development - Business Management

Program Description: The Management Development - Business Management program leads to an Associate in Applied Science Degree. Business occupations provide thousands of opportunities for people trained to supervise and manage employees in many different business environments. The Business Management curriculum provides skills essential for leadership in operations and general management.

Program Title: Management Development - Hospitality

Program Description: This program, leading to an Associate in Applied Science Degree, is designed to develop skills and knowledge essential for employment in the Hospitality Industry to include food and beverage operations, guest services, sales and event planning. The program provides courses in sanitation certification, wine and spirits, front office operations, event planning, financial analysis and leadership management. The student will acquire practical experience in their coursework by performing hands on skills at multiple levels in our on campus restaurants, and special events. Students will experience special event planning first hand as student manager planning special events for the public. Student will visit hospitality venues and complete an internship within a hospitality operation best related to their career path of choice. The Hospitality graduates career can lead to management positions in their hospitality field of choice with acquired industry experience and attaining higher education and/or certification that may be required.




Program Title: Technological Sciences

Program Description: The Associate in Technological Sciences Degree program is designed for students choosing to pursue widely varying areas of occupational, technological, engineering, and emerging sector-related interests. This degree is also designed for career-minded students, yet includes flexibility to meet the Michigan Transfer Agreement for students wishing to continue their education with one of our many 4-year partner institutions. See a counselor for courses that may be required at the college you plan to attend. A minimum of sixteen credit hours in the primary occupational discipline of your choice, plus nineteen credits of fundamental General Education leaves you with twenty-seven elective credits (14 required) to design your future. Graduating from this program does not automatically qualify the student for the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) endorsement. Students in this program seeking MTA endorsement should work closely with an OCC counselor to identify classes from the MTA List which apply to the endorsement and to degree requirements.
