Course:

Designed for public safety and security personnel responsible for professional conflict management and incident response.

Through lectures, demonstrations, role-play, and scenario-based practical applications, this instructor-level program prepares personnel to effectively manage conflict through communication, de-escalation, control, and restraint strategies. Participants receive instruction in legal use-of-force principles, Active Diffusion Strategies, confrontation avoidance, and practical subject-control tactics designed for real-world encounters.

This course emphasizes the integration of communication, tactical decision-making, and physical control skills to safely manage violent, resisting, combative, or emotionally escalated individuals. Participants learn to recognize aggressive behavior early, apply de-escalation techniques to reduce escalation, and transition to reasonable and proportionate control tactics when necessary.

Instruction also focuses on instructor development, teaching methodologies, student performance assessment, and the practical application of skills across diverse operational and environmental settings. The program is designed to provide instructors with a comprehensive and defensible approach to diffusion, control, and restraint training.
