Darnell Blackburn brings over 28 years of law enforcement experience, ranging from undercover investigations to statewide leadership with The Michigan Commission On Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES). His combined frontline and administrative work gives him deep insight into how media interactions directly affect public trust and officer safety.
He holds a Psychology degree from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. As CEO of PRAT International LLC and an adjunct professor, Darnell trains agencies nationwide in communication, de-escalation, cultural competency, and leadership—core skills that support effective media engagement.
