Use of Force Analysis for Law Enforcement and Correctional Leaders
Instructor:
Lt. Kevin Dillon (Whethersfield, CT Police Department, Retired) is a twenty-six year veteran law enforcement officer, SWAT Commander and an internationally recognized expert on combatives instructor and speaker. He is the founder and developer of the L.O.C.K.U.P. ® Police Training System presently instructed in over 18 states and 5 countries. He has appeared on CNN, NPR, Police Magazine.com, Police One Academy Expert and Contributor for PoliceOne.com. Lieutenant Dillon will discuss current issues and how to use Strategies and Tactics for law enforcement and civilian personnel response to human aggression. Recent research and incidents will be discussed and how to apply the science and research to enhance tactics and response.
Course Description:
This one day training session is designed for Law Enforcement Command and First Line Supervision. The training examines the most recent and up to date issues that specifically impact Police command level, front line supervisors and internal affairs investigators concerning police use of force incidents. This course breaks down multiple issues ranging from daily officer citizen complaints, curriculum design, use of force reporting, tracking and trending or investigating incidents involving police use of force encounters.
