About the Data
OCC’s completion data comes from OCC’s data warehouse reporting system. Completion is the number of degrees and other recognized postsecondary credentials (certificates) conferred during an entire academic year, from July 1 of one calendar year through June 30 of the following year. The dashboard shows 6 year trend data for academic years. Filters can be used to drill down into more detailed information on any sub-group.
- Associates Degree: An award that normally requires at least 2 but less than 4 years of full-time equivalent college work.
- Certificate: A recognized postsecondary credential that is conferred upon the satisfactory completion of a postsecondary education program, including certificate and certificate of achievement.
- FTIAC: First Time in Any College (FTIAC) students are those who had never attended college before they started at OCC.
- Non-FTIAC: Students who had experienced higher education before they started at OCC.
- PELL Eligible: PELL grant program (Higher Education Act of 1965, Title IV, Part A, Subpart I, as amended.) provides assistance to eligible undergraduate postsecondary students with demonstrated financial need to help meet education expenses.
- Gender: Self-reported gender in the initial term. If gender is not reported, then it’s unknown.
- Age: Age at the initial term. If age or birth date is not reported, then it’s unknown.
