Networking, career exploration and job connections for students, alumni and the community
Oakland Community College is hosting its annual Career and Resource Fair on Wednesday, April 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. on the Auburn Hills campus. The event brings
together nearly 80 area employers offering career insights; internships, and part-
and full-time job opportunities; and information about career pathways across a range
of fields and industries.
Attendees can connect directly with hiring professionals, explore career pathways,
and gain insight into the current job market. Professional headshots will be available
to help attendees enhance their personal brand for LinkedIn and related use.
OCC’s Career Services team will be on site to assist with resume writing, employment preparation, career
exploration and choosing the right career path, as well as access to job opportunities
through OCC’s online job database, Handshake.
“Networking is one of the best ways for students to get a head start on their job
search before graduation,” said Cameron Albring, OCC Director of Career Services.
“This event is the perfect opportunity to meet with industry professionals and make
important connections for the future.”
Students looking for internships or employment opportunities are encouraged to bring
copies of their resume and be prepared for potential on-site interviews with employers.
The event will be held in the G Building, Room 240, and B Building by the Market Café
on OCC’s Auburn Hills campus, 2900 Featherstone Road, Auburn Hills. While geared for OCC students and alumni,
the event is open to the community.
