Oakland Community College (OCC) has named Elizabeth “Libby” Argiri as Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services, effective June 29.

Argiri joins OCC from Macomb Community College (MCC), where she served as Executive Vice President, Administration. In that role, she oversaw finance and purchasing, budget and grants, financial aid, facilities and central services, human resources and information technology. She also served as treasurer of the MCC Foundation.

At OCC, Argiri will lead the College’s Financial Operations, Budget and Planning, Physical Facilities and Public Safety, and Purchasing and Auxiliary Services departments.

“Libby brings strong financial and operational leadership, experienced higher education and business acumen, and a strong understanding of challenges and opportunities facing our region,” said OCC Chancellor Peter Provenzano, Jr. “She distinguished herself as the unanimous top candidate  for her commitment to student success, collaborative leadership style and forward-thinking approach.”

Argiri succeeds Christina “Tina” Kostiuk, who retired on Feb. 27.

A resident of Clinton Township, Argiri said she is excited to join OCC and partner with an exceptional leadership team committed to excellence.

“OCC’s unwavering commitment to student success and advancing the community is both inspiring and meaningful," said Argiri. "I look forward to bringing my experience and expertise to OCC to help strengthen college operations, support innovation, expand opportunities and contribute to student success and the communities we serve.”

A Certified Public Accountant, Argiri earned a Master of Business Administration in Integrative Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Michigan State University.
