OCC will host an Apprenticeship 101 Information Session for employers May 5 at its Auburn Hills campus to help businesses understand the value of apprenticeships in building, recruiting and retaining a skilled workforce. The event will be held Thursday, May 5 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the T Building on OCC’s Auburn Hills campus.
During this session, employers will gain insight into the creation of a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program, as well as the resources and funding available to support apprenticeship in Oakland
County. In addition to information on OCC’s Apprenticeship Program, an overview of
apprenticeship resources will be available from representatives of the US Department
of Labor Office of Apprenticeship, Oakland County Workforce Development/Oakland County Michigan Works and the Workforce Intelligence Network.
