Board Governance & College Administrative Policies

These policies are not intended to create an implied or expressed contract of any kind and may be modified from time to time.

Oakland Community College maintains two primary categories of institutional policy:

  • Board of Trustees Policies | Adopted by the Board and govern strategic direction, legal obligations, and fiduciary matters.
  • Administrative Policies | Developed and maintained by college departments, these collegewide policies provide consistent guidance on institutional compliance. They are formally adopted by the Executive Council.

This page serves as the central source for accessing current, approved policies that support OCC’s mission, promote accountability, and ensure consistency across departments. These policies help define how we operate, make decisions, and support our students and colleagues in alignment with state and federal law, accreditation requirements, and internal standards.
