I. Policy Statement
To ensure optimal performance, security, comply with import/export control laws, and compliance with applicable regulations, Oakland Community College (OCC) may restrict access to its online learning platforms and digital resources from locations outside the United States.
II. Key Policy Provisions and Scope
- Access restrictions may be implemented for specific geographic regions, countries or locations without prior notice
- Students or staff located in restricted areas may experience limited or no access to online courses, learning management systems, and related digital services
- Oakland Community College does not guarantee uninterrupted access to online services or digital resources for users connecting from international locations
- Students or staff residing in areas with access restrictions will not be eligible for admission to online-only degree programs
- This administrative policy is subject to change at any time to ensure continued compliance with legal requirements, changing security environments, country regulations, and institutional standards
- Technical support for individuals located in international locations may be limited or denied
New students planning to access online courses from outside the United States should contact the Admissions Office to verify access availability for their specific location before enrollment.
