Policy Statement
A. Preservation of Natural Environment
The College is committed to maintaining and improving the existing natural environment at each of its campuses. In recognition of the importance of improving and preserving its natural environs, including the management of its trees and vegetation, any new proposals for the use of College property must be consistent with existing Campus Master Plans. New proposals for campus properties may require Board approval prior to execution.
B. Recycling
Oakland Community College is committed to the preservation of a healthy environment
for its students, staff and community. The College will, to the best of its ability,
responsibly use resources by reducing waste, reusing and recycling. Environmental
costs will be considered as factors in making decisions.
