Program Outcomes
Program outcomes represent broad areas of knowledge and skills developed over the duration of the program through a wide range of courses and experiences. These learning outcomes represent what a student should be able to know, think, or do upon successful completion of their program at Oakland Community College.

Students will be proficient with all tools and diagnostic equipment required for the licensed area, and use manufacturers' recommended procedures.

Students will be able to locate both specifications and lifetime service modifications.

Students will be able to select and utilize replacement parts and components that have the highest level of reliability and durability, at a reasonable cost.

Students will provide proof of competence to pass the Michigan licensing and national Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.

Students will use safe practices related to performing diagnostic and repair procedures, with emphasis on environmentally sound methods.
