Construction Management Professional (CMP.AAS)
Program Outcomes
Program outcomes represent broad areas of knowledge and skills developed over the duration of the program through a wide range of courses and experiences. These learning outcomes represent what a student should be able to know, think, or do upon successful completion of their program at Oakland Community College.
- The CMP student will complete the CMP program.
- The CMP student will gain an understanding of the legal principles and practice of the construction industry.
- The CMP student understands the legal principles and practices of the construction industry.
- The CMP student understands the various types of construction contracts used within the industry.
- The CMP student understands current construction business administration processes.
- The CMP student understands the construction scheduling process.
- The CMP student must be able to assemble a construction bid using quantitative analysis of construction materials and applying material, labor, equipment and other associated project costs.
Program Plan 2025-2026
Full Time - Fall Start
**Students should meet with an OCC counselor before attempting this plan of study**
Before Starting Program: Attend CMN program orientation prior to Fall term.
Major Credits: 20 - A block of 20 credits will be granted by OCC Registrar upon submission of A) a Certificate of Completion from the appropriate apprenticeship school and/or B) a Journeyman's Card.
