Students will integrate learned surgical technology skill and theory with the standards
expected of a health care professional. Communicate effectively in all aspects of
the position of surgical technologist student, including effective communication with
all staff and patient as applicable.

Students will successfully complete the comprehensive examination administered by
the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) for the Surgical
Technologist that leads to certification (CST) (ARC Requirement)
