Online information sessions cover enrollment, free tuition and financial aid

Oakland Community College is offering a series of free information sessions in July and August to help prospective students prepare for the Fall semester. Participants can learn how to apply and register for classes, explore financial aid and scholarships, and find out if they qualify for free tuition through Michigan Reconnect program for adults age 25 and older. 
 
Real-time Drop-in Sessions 
 
Prospective students can join one of six virtual Registration Zoom-In Sessions to connect with OCC admissions experts and learn about: 

  • Applying and enrolling at OCC
  • Academic programs and career pathways
  • Student support services
  • Registering for classes

Michigan Reconnect Information Session 
 
Adults ages 25 and older who live in Oakland County can learn how to attend OCC tuition-free through Michigan Reconnect at a special information session on Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 7-8 p.m. at the Auburn Hills campus, or online at one of the Michigan Reconnect information sessions this summer.   
 
Michigan Reconnect has helped thousands of OCC students start or finish their college degree without paying tuition. To qualify, participants must: 

  • Be at least 25 years old
  • Be a Michigan resident
  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Not already have a college degree
