Oakland Community College (OCC) has named Elizabeth Klee Vice Chancellor for Information Technologies and Chief Information Officer, effective May 12.

In this role, Klee will lead the College’s I.T. team in advancing OCC’s technology systems to support excellence in teaching and learning, enhance student services, and improve operational efficiencies.
Klee previously served as Chief Information Officer at Urban Science, a leading data analytics software and consulting company, as well as an Accenture Managing Director. She brings more than 30 years of experience in information technology, specializing in digital and organization transformation, aligning technology strategy with institution priorities to maximize value, delivering insights through data-driven analytics, and fostering collaborative change management.
“Elizabeth brings a proven track record of designing effective I.T. strategies and leading the transformation of information systems in complex environments,” said Chancellor Peter Provenzano, Jr. “Her expertise and vision will be invaluable as we continue to advance our capabilities serving students and our community with high-quality education and preparing individuals for a modern workforce.”
Klee succeeds Robert “Bob” Montgomery, who retired after more than 20 years of dedicated service at OCC.
“What truly excites me about joining Oakland Community College is the opportunity to be part of an organization that transforms thousands of lives through education,” Klee said. “I'm looking forward to partnering with the OCC community to enhance that mission by leveraging technology to drive operational excellence and value.”
Klee earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan. In 2021, she received the prestigious Orbie Michigan Award for Enterprise CIO of the Year. She currently serves on the advisory boards of the YMCA-Michigan Camp Services.
