March: A Month of Celebration and Giving at OCC

OAKLAND COUNTY, Michigan - Oakland Community College invites community members along with retirees, alumni, employees and students to volunteer throughout the month of March in honor of its 2016 Founders Day Celebration.

In this long-running tradition of goodwill and giving back to the community, OCC commemorates the birthday of its founder, George Mosher, an Oakland County resident who turns 95 years old this March.

Participants receive a certificate of appreciation and a special Founders Service Club pin recognizing service hours – a green pin for four hours of service, silver for 20 hours and gold for 40 hours.

The top earning alumni and retirees are eligible to win an OCC gift basket. The top earning students at each campus receive a $50 OCC bookstore gift card; other students names put into a pool to qualify for a $25 OCC bookstore gift card on a campus-by-campus basis. The top earning employee will receive two tickets to an OCC Culinary event. The deadline to mail in volunteer forms is Wednesday, April 6.
