HVAC/R Systems Technology

HVAC/R Systems Technology

The HVAC/R System Technology program is designed to qualify students for careers in air conditioning, heating and refrigeration, system designers, estimators, manufacturers’ representatives, equipment fabricators, application technicians, salespeople, installation mechanics, service people, maintenance mechanics and many other related skilled and semi-skilled positions. The student will utilize a cross section of skills: fabrication, electrical and mechanical.

Did you know? HVACR technicians work mostly in homes, schools, hospitals, office buildings, or factories. Their worksites may be very hot or cold because the heating and cooling systems they must repair may not be working properly and because some parts of these systems are located outdoors.
