Student Essential Needs Fund
Are you looking to graduate sooner? Or, is something getting in the way of you graduating on time? College isn't easy, especially when you’re juggling work, family, and personal responsibilities.
The Student Essential Needs Fund may provide you with a $1,000 stipend to support non-academic expenses that stand in the way of your graduation goals.
For example, this fund could help you to reduce your hours at work or afford more hours of childcare, allowing you to enroll in additional classes – and reach your graduation goals sooner.
Students must:
- Have completed at least 24 credits at OCC
- Be registered at OCC for at least 12 credits
- Be able to identify how funding will improve your ability to complete your education at OCC
Plan Ahead! Applications will be accepted for the two months before the start of each semester.
The financial support for this initiative comes from grant funding provided to the Oakland Community College Foundation.
