Students Transferring to OCC

Oakland Community College welcomes transfer students from other institutions of higher education and always tries to award direct equivalent credit. When direct equivalencies are not available, elective credit is usually awarded.

3: Submit Official Transcripts

Official transcripts from U.S. or Canadian institutions must be sent from your previous accredited university or college to OCC.

Your previous institution can:

  • Email official transcripts to transcripts@oaklandcc.edu
  • Mail them to: Oakland Community College, Transcript Evaluations, 2900 Featherstone Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326-2845
  • Send them electronically through Parchment.com, National Student Clearinghouse or another accepted transfer delivery system. Please remember to put Oakland Community College as the recipient.

After your transcript has been evaluated, notification will be sent to your OCC email. You may log into your student account to review the results of your transcript evaluation.

International transcripts (excluding those from Canadian institutions) must be evaluated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) before OCC can consider international credits for transfer.

4: New Student Orientation

5: Online Learning Readiness Course

6: Complete the FAFSA (if applicable)

7: Placement (if applicable)

Please complete your admission application, set up your MyOCC account, New Student Orientation, and placement before your meeting. To schedule an appointment, go to “Make a Counseling Appointment” in MyOCC, or call us at  (248) 341-2270
