Decisions Under Pressure: 2-Day Immersive Training with MILO
Instructor:
Dr. Stephanie Zoltowski-Siordia is a military veteran who was a police officer for the US Navy. Her specialties are mental health, professional development, and creating personalized training courses for first responder agencies, hospitals, and colleges. She earned her Doctorate of Psychology in Business Consulting Psychology and has a variety of certifications including Non-violent Crisis Intervention Instructor (CPI), ASIST Suicide Training, Mental Health First Aid, and Certified First Responder Supporter. With 20+ years of experience, she has a wide variety of experiences to maximize cooperation and positive interactions with first responders.
Course Description:
Day 1 Classroom-based instruction covering three core areas:
- Interacting with the Special Needs Community
- Supervising Gen Z Personnel
- Mental Health & Self-Care
Day 2 Transitions from theory to practice using the MILO interactive training system. Scenarios will be facilitated by experienced tactical officers who bring real-world experience to each interaction. Immersive scenarios will include:
- De-escalation of individuals who have special needs or are in mental health crisis
- Coaching moments with Gen Z officers in the field
- Leadership under pressure during emotionally charged calls
