Program Goals
The goal of the Oakland Community College Respiratory Therapy Program is to prepare students to be competent respiratory therapists.
Standard #1A: Upon completion of this program, graduates will demonstrate that they have acquired the knowledge (cognitive domain elements) required to function as respiratory therapists.
Standard #1B: Upon completion of this program, graduates will demonstrate proficiency in performing the skills (elements of the psychomotor domain) necessary for a respiratory therapist.
Standard #1C: Upon completion of this program, graduates will demonstrate effective personal interaction and communication skills, and professional behavior as expected of a respiratory therapist (pertaining to affective domain areas).
