Classes on eating healthy and creative cooking, concealed pistol licenses and motorcycle
safety highlight OCC’s community education offerings this spring. Registration is currently open for the following classes:
Fueling Strategies Before and During a Workout or Race Tuesday, April 22 Conducted in partnership with Henry Ford Health, learn tips on the best things to
eat and drink to fuel your body for running or a workout. Animal Cookie Creations for Children Saturday, May 3 Children 10-17 years old will learn decorating techniques in this hands-on class using
royal icing on sugar cookies.
Advanced Concealed Pistol License Level 1 Saturday, May 3 This 8-hour course takes students from the beginning of safe gun handling through
actual range fire,regardless of prior training or experience. Training includes close quarters combat,
point and positional shooting, target analysis, malfunction clearing and more. Advanced Concealed Pistol License Level 2 Saturday, June 7 This course enhances the student's decision-making skills through Force-on-Force decision
making scenarios which boost their skills that are necessary when confronted with
a possible life-threatening situation while under stress.
Basic Rider Course May 16-18; May 30- June 1; June 6- 8; June 20- 22 Weekend classes run Friday through Sunday for novice motorcycle riders. Motorcycles
are provided for student instruction.
Basic Rider Course 2 For Experienced Riders Saturday, June 14 This one-day course is designed for the experienced, but unendorsed rider to become
licensed and legal, or for already endorsed riders to refresh and improve their skills.
