Ten Unique One-Act Plays Featured in November OCC Theatre Production

“Love Hate and Other Oddities (Again)” Performances at OCC Royal Oak Campus Theatre Nov. 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16

A collection of dark, heartbreaking, funny one-act plays will be featured in OCC’s Theatre Program production, “Love Hate and Other Oddities (Again)” at the College’s Royal Oak campus theatre Nov. 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16.

“We are delighted to present this production to our community.  This is a collection of wonderfully theatrical pieces that rarely see the stage, not because of quality Theatre but because of length and content,” said Dennis North, OCC theatre program director. “The material is creatively eclectic, adult and challenging, and we thought it was about time they saw the theatrical light of day.”

Each performance will feature ten one-act plays including Hello Out There; Mary in the Bathtub; On the Wings of a Butterfly; Love; A Quiet Empty Life; Degas, C’est Moi; Time Flies; Free; Baggage Claim; and Grand Design.

The Nov. 8, 14 and 15 weekday performances are at 8 p.m. and the Saturday performances Nov. 9 and 16 are at 2 p.m.  All performances will be at the Lila Jones-Johnson Theatre on OCC’s Royal Oak campus, 739 S. Washington Ave., Royal Oak, Mich. 48067.
