Oakland Community College offers an array of cuisine options, open to both employees and students as well as the general public. Menu items include fresh food prepared by OCC culinary students. Dine with us to experience the delicious and varied flavors of tomorrow's most sought-after chefs!

“Our restaurants and culinary events are very popular with our community, but they also provide a perfect training ground for our culinary students in all aspects of food service and event planning,” said Julie Selonke, program coordinator for the OCC Culinary Studies Institute.

Seasoned Oak

Our restaurant and cafe serve as both a teaching space and dining destination. Located on the 3rd Floor of Building E in the Culinary Studies Institute, patrons can select from our prix fixe restaurant menu or a la carte cafe items. Seating and availability are limited and by reservation only! 

• Restaurant open Wednesdays from October 15 - December 3, 2025
• Cafe open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from September 16 - October 8, 2025

Sweet Oak Cafe

Stop in and enjoy an ever-changing selection of grab-and-go breakfast and lunch items, all inspired and prepared at OCC. Located inside the 1st floor of the Culinary Studies Institute and easily accessible from downtown Royal Oak. Students, staff, and the general public are all welcome.
