Oakland Community College offers an array of cuisine options, open to both employees and students as well as the general public. Menu items include fresh food prepared by OCC culinary students. Dine with us to experience the delicious and varied flavors of tomorrow's most sought-after chefs!
“Our restaurants and culinary events are very popular with our community, but they also provide a perfect training ground for our culinary students in all aspects of food service and event planning,” said Julie Selonke, program coordinator for the OCC Culinary Studies Institute.

Seasoned Oak
Our restaurant serves as both a teaching space and dining destination. Located on
the 3rd Floor of Building E in the Culinary Studies Institute, patrons can select
from our Market Kitchen a la carte menu or prix fixe Fine Dining menu items. Seating
and availability are limited and by reservation only!
Reservations can only be made one week in advance.
- Market Kitchen open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from September 8 - October 14, 2026
- Restaurant open Wednesdays from October 28 - December 2, 2026 (Closed November 11th and November 25th)

Sweet Oak Cafe
Stop in and enjoy an ever-changing selection of grab-and-go breakfast and lunch items, all inspired and prepared at OCC. Located inside the 1st floor of the Culinary Studies Institute and easily accessible from downtown Royal Oak. Students, staff, and the general public are all welcome.
