In recognition of Community College Month, OCC Trustee and Board Secretary Susan Gibson personally invites your support for the Student Success Fund at the Oakland Community College Foundation. She will be running in the Glass City Marathon in Toledo, Ohio intending to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

Her goal is to raise $2,620 – $100 per mile – to help students facing a financial emergency. The Student Success Fund is OCC’s rapid response to students experiencing a sudden, unexpected crisis. The goal is to prevent a student from dropping out of classes and losing momentum toward completion.
