  • When should I apply for admission to the program?

    All requirements must be completed by the end of the Winter semester in the year of intended enrollment in the Radiologic Technology program. The requirements include successfully completing all prerequisites and general education courses with a grade of ‘B’ or higher.

  • When does the professional component, the RAL Curriculum begin?

    The professional component begins the Fall Semester each year.

  • Why are immunizations necessary?

    Health care workers are at risk for increased exposure to certain preventable infectious diseases and other health hazards.  It is important for radiology students to be immunized properly for protection against these diseases and/or prevention of spread among patients in the hospitals and clinics. The immunizations must be completed prior to entering the first clinical rotation in the Fall Semester. In addition, students must rigidly adhere to special precautions to minimize risks.

  • Do I have to have all the immunizations completed before I can enter the program?

    The immunizations must be completed prior to entering the first clinical rotation in the Fall Semester. Documentation of necessary immunizations must be submitted prior to the semester beginning.

  • Can I work while completing the radiography program?

    Students are discouraged from working throughout the program. The program requires a full-time commitment. Employment could jeopardize valuable study and preparation time for class and clinical. 

  • Can I choose my clinical site?

    No. Clinical assignments are selected for each student based on numerous factors. The distance from a student's house is not considered. Most hospitals are within a 60 mile radius of campus.

  • Is there a waiting list to get into the radiologic technology program?

    No. Currently there is no waiting list. If there are more applicants than space, it is possible that there will be a 1 year wait.
