Criminal Justice-Generalist, Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and Criminal
                                 Justice Law Enforcement programs are available online. 
                           Yes. In fact, all degree offerings, online and traditional, at Oakland Community College
                                 are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
                           Yes. In most cases transfers are equivalent in course content and credit hour. Be
                                 sure to check with a counselor prior to enrolling in a program or course that you are unsure about.
                           Yes. Students should work with an OCC counselor to discuss transfer credit and academic
                                 planning. Students considering transfer are strongly encouraged to explore transfer
                                 options through one of the many articulation agreements that OCC has with other four-year colleges and universities.
                           After you are admitted to OCC as a student, you must successfully complete a free,
                                 one-time, but mandatory Online Learning Readiness Course. Once completed you will be allowed to register for upcoming online (and hybrid)
                                 classes using the college’s online registration system.
                           Yes. OCC does not allow any exemptions or equivalencies. Once you successfully pass
                                 this course you will not be required to repeat it. It generally only takes 3 hours
                                 to complete the course.
                           Yes. The learning management system, D2L, has browser and software requirements to
                                 ensure the system functions seamlessly for you. To learn more, please visit Supported Browsers and Technology for D2L. You will be notified by instructors if a particular course has additional requirements
                                 such as a web camera and microphone for virtual lectures and office hours.
                           Yes. OCC has partnered with NetTutor to offer tutoring online seven days a week. NetTutor
                                 is currently being offered in many subjects.  You can communicate with live tutors
                                 via chat, audio, or audio/video connection. Additionally, on campus tutoring for many
                                 courses is available through OCC’s Academic Support Center.
