Combat the stress of late-night studying and the pressure of going-it alone by taking advantage of the many resources OCC offers for finals
OCC’s Finals Frenzy tradition is back December 1-5. This week-long student event is filled with giveaways, resources and activities, both on campus and online, to recharge and relax. The event is sponsored by OCC’s Office of Student Engagement, Counseling, Academic Support Center (ASC), ACCESS, Campus Libraries, Student Government and the many College services dedicated to your success.
Gain the additional confidence and skills you need to pass this semester’s finals with flying success.
Here’s what to expect:
Resources – Don’t do it alone! Be sure to utilize the free resources at all OCC libraries, including free printing; help from the experts reviewing your final paper, bibliography or works cited pages; and end of semester planning assistance from the ASC – both express and enhanced sessions available.
Recharge and Refuel – Skip the vending machine and recharge at an OCC campus location with snacks and study time; or join others at the Highland Lakes and Orchard Ridge campuses and get inspired by creating your own vision board in under an hour—free materials and cookies provided!
Relax – How can I calm myself? “Take five” to color stress away on each campus. Or take a lunch hour sound bowl therapy break at the Auburn Hills, Orchard Ridge or Royal Oak campuses to help you unwind and de-stress. Then enjoy making a friendship-bracelet at the Auburn Hills and Royal Oak Student Hubs.
Giveaways – OCC’s Office of Student Engagement has Grab and Go Finals Frenzy Survival Kits at all campus libraries. The Highland Lakes and Orchard Ridge campuses will give away inspiration bags at the ACCESS office, and the Orchard Ridge ASC has study-supply giveaways – all while supplies last.
A full list of activities can be found on the Finals Frenzy website.
