Special Events

All special events that take place in the Culinary Studies Institute are a means to provide a  "real" hands-on learning experience for our students in training!

Our seasoned students in "Events & Catering" are applying their newly attained skills to plan, organize, and execute themed events. They are managers leading our student volunteers in assigned tasks such as banquet service, bartending, décor, and clean up.

Students in "Buffet & Banquets" are planning and preparing the exciting menus for banquet and buffet style service, a very different experience than our restaurants. Their challenge is to execute the beautiful and delicious plates they imagined for our guests.

"Bakery Merchandising" students are creating special bakery treats for you to take home and enjoy!

All that's missing is YOU!!!!

We need guests to WOW and we greatly appreciate those who take the time to dine with us and support our culinarians in training!

French Countryside Dinner

Embark on a tour of French history, place, culture, and cuisine. Join us deep in the French countryside where food forms a connection - between the people at the table, between the generations who have passed down a recipe, between the terroir, the meal that has sprung from it, and the history that continues to live on the plate. Meet us in our French focused lounge featuring cocktails, beer, and wine while delighting on complementary hors d'ouevres. Enjoy an evening of the sights and sounds of France. Bring your best beret or costume for a prize.

The crocuses aren't out yet and tulips are still asleep, but don't fret. Grab your friends and family and join us for our first buffet event of the season prepared by our award winning culinary students. We will feature seasonal entrées and delicious pastries to enjoy at your own leisurely pace. a beverage station is available to refresh your palate.

What better way is there to celebrate the coming of warmer weather than to have a worldly spring buffet? Immerse yourself in the flavors of spring with our afternoon of culinary delights. Come hungry and make yourself at home with our self-serve beverage station and fabulous décor.



Outside of our Wednesday Bakery Counter, we have some special bakery events that feature items created by our students. All bakery events are on Thursdays, please note the dates and times below.
