The School of Criminal Justice is now accepting applications for the 2024 Fall Michigan State University School of Staff and Command at Oakland Police Academy in Auburn Hills.

Students are required to complete approximately 8 hours of self-paced online pre-course work prior to the first day of class. The 10-week course of instruction will begin Monday August 12, 2024, with one week of classroom instruction followed by one week of facilitated distance learning. Students will have a two week break prior to the next two weeks of instruction. The course schedule is:

  • August 12 - 16, 2024 - Retreat
  • August 19 - 23, 2024 - Distance Learning
  • September 9 - 13, 2024 - Distance Learning
  • September 23 - 27, 2024 - Classroom Learning
  • October 14 - 18, 2024 - Distance Learning
  • October 21 - 25, 2024- Classroom Learning
  • November 4 - 8, 2024 - Distance Learning
  • November 11 - 15, 2024 - Classroom Learning
  • December 2 - 6, 2024 - Distance Learning
  • December 9 - 13, 2024 - Classroom Learning

Must have one year supervisory experience. Completion of the Michigan State University First Line Supervision course prior to enrolling in the School of Staff and Command is encouraged.
