Jumpstart Program

Get Ahead This Summer

The OCC Jumpstart Program is a 5-week program designed to help you get ready for college. The program is free if you live in Oakland county, earned a high school diploma and have not previously attended college classes. Enrollment is limited to 60 participants on a first-come, first serve basis.


Program Highlights

Where: Auburn Hills Campus
What: Attend classes geared to help you smoothly transition to college in the fall.

  • ASC1070 College Success Skills (2 credits)
  • CNS 1100 Orientation to College (1 credits)

8:15 am - 10:45 am ASC 1070: College Success Skills
10:45 am - 11:00 am Break
11:00 am - 12:15 pm CNS 1100: Orientation to College
12:15 pm - 1:00 pm Lunch provided
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Resource Hour (counseling/career coaching, Math & English support)

Attendees who fully participate in the three-week program will receive these benefits:

  • A free chromebook 
  • $300 dollar stipend ($100 per week)
  • A scholarship for fall 2024 semester
  • Transportation assistance available upon request
  • Free breakfast and lunch provided daily 
  • Free tutoring and counseling
