Open Auditions for OCC Fall Theatre Production

If you are between the ages of 18 and 90, Oakland Community College’s production of “The Cripple of Inishmaan” by Martin McDonagh is looking to cast you.

Casting nine characters, "The Cripple of Inishmaan" follows the story of young cripple Billy who lives on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland in 1934. After word arrives on Inishmaan that "Hollywood" is coming to the neighboring island of Inishmore to film Man of Aran, Billy wants to be in the film more than anybody, if only to break away from the bitter tedium of his daily life.

Auditions are open to everyone and are held June 13 and 14 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Oakland Community College Smith Theatre, located on the Orchard Ridge Campus, 27055 Orchard Lake Road, Farmington Hills. If selected, callbacks will take place on June 15 at 6:00 p.m.

Rehearsals are set to begin September 12. Show dates are October 20, 21, 22 and 27, 28, 29.

For more information or to reserve/request an audition time and receive auditions sides, please contact Dennis North at denorth@oaklandcc.edu or visit the College's theatre program pages.
