Free OCC Caregiving Seminar Nov. 30

OAKLAND COUNTY, Michigan – Anyone caring for an aging or ailing loved one knows the challenge of being unsure of where to turn for help. Learn about support and resources for caregivers on Thursday, November 30 from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm at Oakland Community College's Auburn Hills Campus. This event is free and open to all.

Speaker Pamela Miller-Malone, shares insight from her own life experience. In 2007, she began to notice changes in her otherwise feisty, independent mother's behavior that began her caregiving journey. Recognizing an unmet need in her community to provide support to other caregivers, she organized the first Detroit Caregiver Support Conference in 2014.

From making difficult decisions to coordinating caregiver resources, Miller-Malone will offer ideas and information that helped her along the way. Attendees currently caring for an aging or ailing loved one will realize—they are not alone.

There is no registration required. The event is at OCC's Auburn Hills Campus, F Building, Room 123, 2900 Featherstone Road, Auburn Hills.
