OAKLAND COUNTY, Michigan – Three information sessions, Thursday, August 10, 2017 (2 p.m.), Wednesday, August 16 (5:30 p.m.), and Thursday, August 24 (10 a.m.), have been announced for a new PLC (programmable logic controller) Robotics Technician Training Program at Oakland Community College. The program is offered at no charge to qualified participants in partnership with Workforce Intelligence Network for Southeast Michigan (WIN), Oakland County Michigan Works!, and Oakland Community College Economic and Workforce Development.
Advanced Manufacturing is one of the fastest growing and highest-demand industry sectors in Southeast Michigan. To find out the qualifications for FREE training, interested prospective students should attend one of the free information sessions. According to payscale.com, entry-level robotics technicians earn an average of $39,000+; more with greater technical competencies and related experience.
