The Oakland Community College Foundation has named two key community stakeholders, Caroline Chambers and Ken Johnson, to its Board of Directors.
Chambers most recently served as the National Director of Diversity Initiatives at Comerica Bank, where she was responsible for managing internal and external diversity programs. She also served as National Director of Corporate Contributions and President of the Comerica Charitable Foundation, where she led a $16 million annual charitable giving program focused on community needs in Comerica’s primary retail markets. She holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Michigan.
Johnson is a successful entrepreneur who created and licensed a card game with the second highest worldwide sales. The game, Phase 10, is now produced by toy giant Mattel and sold in more than 30 countries. Johnson also owns the intellectual property rights to and invented several board and card games sold globally. He is the founder of the Inventors Academy, a free online community designed to provide education, resources and community to both new and experienced inventors, and is a popular guest speaker at inventor clubs across the country. He also serves on the boards of Spring Arbor University, Oakland Schools Education Foundation and the Investors Association of Metro Detroit.

An all-volunteer Board of Directors governs the OCC Foundation. Directors are recruited from business, civic, and education leaders in Oakland County and the region, and elected to three-year renewable terms.
