Employment Opportunities for Students, Alumni & Community Members

Career Services works with job seekers to assist in developing job search strategies that lead to gainful employment. These services include resume writing or critiques, job search techniques and interview skills.

Handshake

Job Seekers must register with Handshake, our online Career Services and Job Board, to utilize our services.

  • Search for jobs posted to Oakland Community College.
  • Create a resume utilizing the reference material found in the Career Center. 
  • Upload your resume and send it to the Career Services & Cooperative Education Office for review.
  • Once approved you will be able to publish your resume for employers to review.
  • Create an online portfolio within the Projects section of Your Profile.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, videos, podcast, and articles.
